Country Singer Goes Viral for National Anthem Rendition at NFC Championship Game

Zach Top went viral for his rendition of the National Anthem ahead of the NFC Championship game between Seattle and LA

Zach Top is the latest country artist to take the scene by storm. The talented musician won the 2025 CMA New Artist of the Year Award. And now, he's reaping the benefits.

On Sunday, Jan. 25, Top was afforded the opportunity to sing the national anthem ahead of the NFC Championship gam between the Seattle Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams...and he crushed it.

Top's performance was so good that it immediately went viral online. Users from around the country gushed over his vocals and the passion he put behind his rendition. Before his now viral rendition, Top posted a video online where he shared his excitement and threw his support behind the Seahawks.

"Hey everybody, this is Zach Top here in Seattle at Lumen Field for the NFC Championship game,"

It looks like both of Top's wishes came true. Not only was his performance a resounding success — somewhat stealing a sliver of the limelight away from the game itself — but the Seahawks also took care of business. They won the game against the Rams 31-27, to book their spot in the Super Bowl, where they will face the New England Patriots.

Zach Top's Career Is Going From Strength to Strength

On top of winning his first CMA award last year, Top also released his third album. "Good Times & Tan Lines," which was the lead song from his "Ain't In It For My Heart" album, topped out at 20th on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.

Top's previous albums, "Cold Beer & Country Musician" and his self-titled debut album from 2022, have both received significant praise, too. However, it's his hit "I Never Lie" that has truly catapulted him to new heights. The track has been streamed over 289 million times on Spotify alone.

"Bad Luck" and "Sounds Like The Radio" are some of the other hits Top has in his rapidly growing catalogue. And now, following his viral performance, he may find a new swath of fans heading his way. To be fair, with a rendition like that, he deserves all of the attention.
