Throughout his time with Shotgun Rider, Anthony served as the group's lead guitarist and songwriter. Once news of his passing became public, fans began to pay tribute to the late musician via social media.

"The Texas Music community lost a real one with the passing of Anthony Enriquez," independent country music site Galleywinter

posted on Facebook. "Many fans first discovered Anthony as one half of the Texas duo Shotgun Rider, but his impact stretched far beyond those years. As a solo artists, songwriter, and supporter of fellow musicians, Anthony continued pouring himself into the music and the people around him."

Anthony's family also paid tribute following his death, with a heartfelt obituary.

"Through his songs, he connected with people on a deeply personal level, providing the soundtrack to cherished moments, lasting friendships, and treasured memories," the obituary said. "His music will continue to live on in the hearts of those who listened, and his legacy will be carried forward through the lives he touched and the inspiration he gave to others."

Shotgun Rider Has Almost 67,000 Monthly Listeners on Spotify

Shotgun Rider had released four EPs and one studio album, titled "Palo Duro."

Despite a limited number of songs in their catalog, Shotgun Rider was building a dedicated audience. According to Spotify, the band draws roughly 66,500 monthly listeners on the platform. "I'm Not Alright" is their biggest song, with over 8 million plays all-time.

"It Won't Matter Anyway" sits second with 7.8 million hits. "Dance or Drink" rounds out their top three with 6.2 million.

When factoring in other music streaming services, the band is likely earning more than 100,000 monthly plays. As such, it's fair to assume that Shotgun Riders was on the cusp of breaking through into the mainstream.

Unfortunately, we'll never know.

There's currently no information regarding Anthony's impending celebration of life. Those details will likely remain private, for family and close friends.
