If the last 12 months have proven anything to country singer Nat Myers, it's that he is as resilient as they come.

A year ago, the "Yellow Peril" singer was diagnosed with a rare cancer known as sarcoma. Doctors had only given him weeks to live. Then, in September, Myers shared that his father, Daniel, had died.
But through it all, the Kentucky-based songwriter has continued to defy the odds. Earlier this week, he went on Instagram and reflected on the past year. But in his post, he also shared a disturbing message a fan left him. We have the details below.
Nat Myers Stood "At the Doorway of Death"
In the post, which features a video collage of Myers' year set to the song "Shake" by Gary Clark Jr., he summed up his year tone that can only be described as Biblical.
"A year ago today I went into a hospital and nearly never got out," he wrote. "I learned something had been tryna kill me, but it aint trying hard enough."
He added, "I stood at the doorway of death, and became a brother of Lazarus, and a servant of Janus, the two-headed god of beginnings, ends, transitions, and time. The Lord delivered me I have no doubt. He made me see both the curses and the blessings. I continue to chase the ungraspable phantom of life, and shall for some time."
Someone Made a Disturbing Comment About Country Singer
Myers then shared a remark someone made that can only be described as unsettling.
"I read a comment that said they hope the cancer takes me already, and that I'm the worst thing that happened to blues music since shit gone electric," he wrote.
However, the artist went on to say that he wouldn't let those words bother him.
"I'm sad to say I won't be headed nowhere," he wrote. "Every moment I learn to live again. It's nice knowing there are people praying on my downfall, cuz I have an army prayin otherwise. We'll see how my heart weighs against the feather one day, but not today, and not tomorrow."
Myers then ended his message with kindness.
"My love is infinite for my friends, for the music, and the family that brought me here," he said. "I have tasted many medicines, but there is none more powerful. Persist, endure, and thrive. And find you some good nurses and doctors. I can attest they can save a lost cause."
