Country music icon Carrie Underwood was in the congregation for service at her home church this past Sunday (August 9). Underwood was in attendance at Rolling Hills Community Church in Nashville over the weekend.

Carrie Underwood Makes Surprise Appearance at Home Church
During her appearance, Underwood performed Hillsong Worship's "What A Beautiful Name. Though Underwood's attendance at the August 9 service was a pleasant surprise for those in attendance, it is not the first time that she has performed during one of Rolling Hills' worship services.
During their Easter Sunday service this past spring, Underwood also blessed the congregation with a performance. As well as during their annual Christmas Concert this past December. She performed the classic hymn How Great Thou Art.
Of course, her most recent performance led to tons of reactions from fans on social media.
"She's absolutely amazing, one of the most beautiful voices ever, ever. God bless her," one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"Beautiful and angelic voice of Carrie! Absolutely beautiful!" a second user chimed in.
Despite becoming a massive success as a country music star, Underwood has never strayed from her faith. When speaking with Fox News Digital about her faith earlier this year, she expressed that it is the one thing that keeps her "grounded" within the music industry.
"Faith is the thing that can keep you grounded," she said to the outlet. "When you're in the entertainment industry, there's a lot of things that, and I've said this before, it's just not real life. You can get caught up in a lot."
She also added: "You're kind of in a self-serving business," she added. "Everybody around you is there to make sure you're good, and you're happy, and you have everything you need, and I feel like you can start to... you can lose your roots real fast, you know. So I think faith is the only way to keep you grounded."
In 2021, Underwood released a gospel album called My Savior. In the following year, the project took home the Grammy for Best Roots Gospel Album. The accolade gave her the eighth Grammy Award in her illustrious singing career.
