Legendary country star Randy Travis is releasing new music. As reported by Y!Entertainment, this comes eighteen years after a devastating stroke which stopped his music career dead in its tracks.
The new album is titled Same Old Way. It consists of 12 original and never before heard songs that the country legend recorded between 1986 and 2013.
Kyle Lehning is the mastermind behind the album, being the producer, remixer and remaster of the tracks. Travis has been fully involved throughout the process, providing input on all tracks.
"When life throws you a curveball, swing for the fences the 'same old way' and hope you knock it out of the park" Travis said in a statement announcing the release of the album.
"Team Travis helped me run the bases on this one, and it feels like a home run! It's a joy and a blessing to be able to bring new music to my listeners - thank you all for still showing up for me."

The album is set to release on November 13 and will be released by Warner Records Nashville.
This Comes After the Country Legend Suffered a Stroke
Of course, this comes after Randy Travis experienced a stroke in 2013. The country legend and his wife Mary Travis later revealed in an interview in 2025 that doctors wanted to "pull the plug" on him.
Per Fox News Digital, Mary explained, "It was that magical moment that I went to his bedside when they said, 'We need to pull the plug .he's got too many things going against him at that point'. He had gotten a staph infection and three other hospital-born bacterial viruses."
However, the country legend pulled through, even if doctors gave him a slim 2% chance of getting through things. We can't wait to hear his new music!
