Grace Kelley has been denied temporary release from jail to give birth. Kelley, the daughter of country icon Wynonna Judd, is serving a 15-month jail sentence at the Rockingham County Jail in Harrisonburg. She received jail time after pleading guilty to driving with a suspended or revoked license.

On July 2, Kelley's legal team applied for a temporary release. However, the judge denied that request two weeks after it was filed. As such, when the time arises, Kelley will be escorted by the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office to a nearby hospital. Once there, she will undergo a scheduled cesarean section.
According to Penn Live, Kelley's due date was reported to be August 16. Currently, it's unclear whether Kelley has already given birth or whether she's still waiting to go into labor.
Interestingly, Kelley has previously been granted a temporary release to give birth. In 2022, she was granted the release to deliver her first child, Kaliyah. She now lives with Judd on her Tennessee farm following her mother's string of legal issues.
According to Penn Live, Kelley has limited to no contact with her family in Tennessee.
"Recent court documents state that Kelley currently has 'no contact with her biological family in Tennessee' and receives 'no contact or support from that side of the family,' including her mother. A representative for Judd did not immediately respond to requests for comment."
Wynonna Judd Has Previously Discussed Raising Her Grandchild
Earlier this year, Judd made an appearance on the Today Show. During that appearance, she addressed her role in raising Kaliyah in Tennessee. The interview was a rare appearance from the country icon, and one of the few times she's spoken about raising her grandchild.
"Food, family and fun is my goal," Judd said, via Page Six.
During the appearance, she also noted that they avoid phones at the dinner table.
"My life on the farm is simple and sweet, which is what we need more of, I think."
Kelley is scheduled for release from jail on November 15. Upon her release, she will begin a five-year period of supervised probation. There is no information as to whether Judd will take on raising Kelley's newborn child or whether they will remain with Kelley.
