When Randy Travis suffered a stroke in 2013, many wondered if they would ever see the icon perform again.

But now, fans will have the opportunity to see the "Forever and Ever, Amen" singer alongside James Dupré, Craig Morgan, and Paul Overstreet.
Travis has been announced as a special guest on the Country Cruising 7th Anniversary Tour. We have all the details below.
Will Randy Travis Sing at Country Cruising?
Travis is expected to make several appearances on the week-long cruise. However, he will not be singing.
As we reported back in August, Travis' stroke damaged the part of Randy's brain controlling speech and language. This condition, called aphasia, affects his ability to speak and sing. Still, Randy continues making music using artificial intelligence.
Since that time, we have seen the artist make remarkable progress on social media. He performed a backstage duet with Tim McGraw and spoke to fans on social media in November.
It's been a remarkable journey for Travis. When he was hospitalized over a decade ago, doctors told his wife it was time to "pull the plug" on the singer. However, she knew he was still fighting and told doctors they were going to help him.
"And I meant that, and Randy meant it," his wife said. "And I knew at that point in time, because he had every odd in the world against him, and he wasn't giving up."
She added, "And I was so encouraged by that, to be honest. He was my inspiration."
Over the past few years, Randy has connected with fans through a show that highlights his career.
"Randy and I are both on stage. I give a little bit of background as far as the music, the musicians, Randy, the stroke, a song, the AI, of course," his wife explained. "And then we show videos of Randy's historical past, as far as some of his joke-telling, which allows people to see the humor that Randy has. And all the way back to his childhood and working with horses in some of the Westerns that he was in, the funny things along the way."
