Country Artist Speaks Out After Getting Hit by Golf Ball in Freak Accident

The country singer said he was "just glad I'm here" following the golf incident. He revealed that he very well could have died because of it.

In case you missed it, country artist Kane Brown was in a pretty crazy accident a couple of days ago. As we reported, he revealed the gruesome images on Instagram Stories on Tuesday, June 23.

The pictures showed his ear absolutely covered in stitches - "just a scratch," he mused. He revealed the total number ended up being 23 stitches.

The freak accident was caused by a rogue golf ball - in his words, he ended up getting "shot in the head" with it. And shot is definitely the right word to use, too - it was going at 180mph!

And the whole thing caused him to have to miss a show, too. Fans at Tight End University missed out on Kane Brown as (obviously) he needed to cancel following the wild incident.

The Country Artist Has Spoken Out Following the Golf Ball Incident

Kane Brown has revealed exactly what happened before the incident, as reported by Page Six. He posted on his TikTok.

"Story time!" he began, in classic TikTok fashion. Blood stains were still visible on his shirt because of the impact.

"A lot of people, they think that the ball came over multiple fairways," he explained. To be honest, that would've been my first thought, too - if a golf ball is hitting those levels of speed it must've been a wicked shot.

But no - he revealed it was someone much closer to him. "No, this one, it was my own buddy." Poor guy - both of them!

For his friend's part (who's he's not revealing the name of, by the way), the country star said he "feels terrible". But he said that he "needs to know" that things weren't all bad.

Because he got "everything checked out" by the local hospital. "I just had a split ear and some swelling." He added that "it was about a 150 to 180 mile an hour ball, a three-wood slice." He managed to turn his head, just a little.

Otherwise, as he noted by gesturing to the side of his face, "If it would have been right here, I wouldn't be here." On that note, it's been a crazy wake up call for the country singer. He explained, "I'm just glad I'm here."

So are we, Kane. We're glad he's feeling better!
