Country Artist Shares Update Amid Sepsis Battle

The country artist was originally hospitalized earlier this month with sepsis. He gave a promising health update, with fans supporting him.

In case you missed it, country artist Radney Forster is currently dealing with a pretty bad case of sepsis. He had to be hospitalized because of it earlier this month, meaning several shows had to be cancelled.

A statement on social media explained what was happening. "We're sorry to announce that the Radney Foster/Kelly Willis shows this weekend are being rescheduled," they wrote.

"Randy is recovering from a serious infection that required hospitalization. While he is improving and has been released from the ICU, his doctors have advised him to take time away from the road to focus on his health."

The Country Artist Has Cancelled More Shows

Bad news, I know. But me personally, I'd rather Radney be feeling better rather than give only 50% at a show...

He released a health update on social media confirming that he was on the road to recovery, as reported by Taste of Country. But, like a lot of roads, this one was a long and winding path.

The post from the country artist reads, "As many of you know, I was recently hospitalized with sepsis. The good news is I'm recovering well."

"On the advice of my doctors, I'm rescheduling my shows through July 14 so I can focus on making a full recovery."

He went on to confirm that he'll be ready for Songwriters in Paradise in Healdsberg, California. He added he'll also be there for his shows in Kenney, Austin, and Houston, which are slated for late July. "We'll be announcing some special guests soon," he confirmed.

He Thanked His Fans For the Support

His post continued by thanking his fans for "the prayers, kind words, and support."

"It has meant the world to me," he wrote." I can't wait to see you out there again soon."

And that's something that fans, and country stars alike, really have been doing. The comments of the post have been full of supporters.

Country star Lyle Lovett wrote, "I'm so glad you're feeling better, Radney! Thank you for letting us know."

One fan wrote, "Glad yer on the mend, amigo!", with another writing, "Prayers for complete and total healing".

We're glad he's feeling better - these July shows are going to be great!
