Country artist Keaton Adams is opening up about a horrific car crash that happened earlier this month. Adams appeared in an Instagram video wearing an eye patch.

He confirmed in the social media video that he's currently blind in his right eye and that he broke several bones in the car wreck. The country artist is hopeful to eventually recover his vision in the eye. But he has a long way to go ahead of him.
He's thankful to still "be breathing" and said he was going to "keep going" despite his injuries. One sympathetic fan expressed well wishes for the artist.
They wrote, "This is exactly what I was fearing when I saw the posts. I'm a physical rehab nurse (in my real life ?) and know the road you have ahead. Give yourself grace and time. You will heal physically, but the mind needs time. Ups and downs are just part of the deal but you'll make it. Not for us, but for you. And who knows, in a few months, I might need an updated pirate photo for the concert wall."
Country Artist Blind in One Eye
The update comes after the country artist was involved in a horrific car accident earlier this month.
"Last night, Keaton was involved in an accident and is currently receiving medical care," a statement on his Instagram read on Aug. 8. "Unfortunately, he will no longer be able to perform tonight at Coupland Dance Hall with Giovannie & The Hired Guns.
"Keaton is in good hands, and right now our focus is simply on his health and recovery," the statement continued. "We're incredibly grateful to the first responders, medical professionals, friends, and everyone who has reached out. We appreciate everyone's understanding and ask that Keaton and his family be given some privacy at this time. We'll share any necessary updates regarding upcoming shows."
"Thank you to everyone who has reached out, checked in and sent their support over the last few days," it read. "Keaton has undergone multiple surgeries following his accident and is now out of surgery and continuing to receiver care. We're incredibly grateful for the medical teams taking care of him and for the outpouring of support from everyone who has reached out. Right now, the focus is simply on Keaton's recovery. Out of an abundance of caution, all performances scheduled for this weekend, August 14 and 15, have been canceled.
