Country Artist is Willing to Get Married Again After Divorce

The country artist exclaimed that the last marriage was a "start-up", and that the divorce meant that they could "get to have the real one".

Divorce is a really difficult thing. You put all those years of love and trust into a person, and it doesn't work out. Such is life, I suppose, but it doesn't make the whole thing any sweeter.

But some view divorce as a blessing in disguise - something which can, in fact, be for the better. And that's the outlook that country artist Carly Pearce has.

As reported by People, she revealed her thoughts on her divorce and whether another marriage was on the cards in response to a fan's comment on social media. And she didn't pull any punches.

"I absolutely wanna get married again," she explained. "[I] intend to get married again, and will never let my past hinder me from doing that again."

Of course, being a divorcée in itself is a pretty hot topic - but she has a pretty stark opinion on it. "So what, I was divorced? It was my start-up marriage, and now I get to have the real one!"

She had married fellow country artist Michael Ray back in October 2019. By September 2020, their divorce was all wrapped up.

Carly Pearce Previously Opened Up About Her Divorce

But this isn't the first time she's opened up about her divorce. Back in 2025, she got pretty candid about her relationship and how things all went down, per Country Rebel.

"I think we didn't really know each other," she recalled. "I knew the night I got married that I shouldn't have, if I'm being completely honest." Pearce added, "I think the best thing that ever happened to me was COVID, because it allowed me to deal with that in private."

"I think that I probably would have stayed in it longer if I could have avoided it... I was embarrassed when it happened, I had shame around that, and was heartbroken."

She also said that there wasn't one specific thing which led to the divorce. She even said that "this just wasn't a marriage," and that it wasn't something she'd "signed up for."

Whatever happens with Carly Pearce, we hope that she ends out happy. Good luck to her!
