Ronnie Bowman has sadly passed away at the age of 64, following a motorcycle accident. He was best known for both his bluegrass and country music.

"Bowman was one of the most beloved bluegrass artists of the past 45 years, as well as a deeply admired singer and songwriter," BluegrassToday wrote. "His was the voice that defined '90s bluegrass, and his sincere smile and genuine love for everyone he met helped define the Lonesome River Band's stage show for years."
Bowman died on Sunday, March 22. His death will undoubtedly come as a shock to bluegrass fans and the wider music community, especially those within Nashville.
It was 1990 when Bowman first came onto the scene. He was part of the Lonesome River Band. However, he went solo a few years later. During his solo career, he released hit albums such as "Cold Virginia Night" and "The Man I'm Tryin' To Be."
Bowman earned Album of the Year honors for "Cold Virginia Night." Furthermore, he won multiple IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year awards, including 1995, 1998, and 1999.
Of course, Bowman was also an incredibly talented songwriter. He worked with Chris Stapleton on numerous tracks, including "More Of You" and "Never Wanted Nothing More."
Ronnie Bowman Still Has a Dedicated Audience
Despite most of his music coming within the niche of Bluegrass, Bowman still has a dedicated audience. According to Spotify, his music still receives 33,288 monthly listeners on the platform. "Matterhorn" is his most popular song on the streaming giant, garnering 1.7 million hits.
Of course, once you factor in the traffic from Apple Music and Amazon Music, those figures are likely significantly higher.
"Love For An Angle" is another hit of Bowman's, at least on Spotify. The song has 904,000 streams to date. "The Lord Is My Light" rounds out the top three, pulling in close to 600,000 streams over the years.
Currently, there are no details regarding Bowman's impending funeral or service. The details will likely remain private, being shared with family, close friends, and those within the industry looking to say their final goodbye.
