Cooking Raw Steak In Microwave Caused Mini Explosion At Work And Probably Some Annoyed Glances From Co-Workers

Cooking a steak in the microwave should be a crime punishable with many years in a cold, wet prison. However, one employee decided that he would torture his colleagues with multiple microwave science experiments, including steak, that ultimately resulted in the machine exploding.

There are certain things that shouldn't be microwaved in a public area. If you have ever had to share a workspace with someone who microwaves fish, you'll know what I'm talking about. A Redditor shared their commiserations for having one of those in their office. But that was just the tip of the iceberg.

The Reddit user complained that their colleague used the office microwave as their testing ground. It began with an egg. Microwaving an egg always ends up badly, and it exploded as they tend to do. Then, he moved on to sardines. This turned the entire office into a hotbox of cooked fish. That smell lingers.

According to the post, the Redditor entered the break room to find the microwave scientist cooking an entire raw steak on the rotating plate. It was completely uncovered. Now, I'm no vegetarian, but doing that to a steak just feels disrespectful to the cow. Apparently, the office smelt of "burned meat and despair."

The final straw came when he decided to cook something rather normal. He popped some homemade soup in the office microwave but left it in the metal container, causing the machine to explode. The resulting culinary disaster forced an office evacuation.

Microwave Scientist Has His Doctorate Revoked

Since the steak incident and the multiple complaints about his microwave experiments, the colleague has been banned from using the microwave. It's cold salads for him from now on. The colleague was put out by the news. He even went so far as to call the Redditor a snitch.

I would understand the accusation if they had gone to management after the fish incident. That's a man-to-man talk, but at this point, the exploding microwave was becoming a health hazard. Although, as soon as I saw someone microwaving a raw steak, I think I would have called the police. That's a crime.
