Content Creator Found Dead Hours After Being Reported Missing

British content creator Michael Selwood has been found dead at the age of 35, just hours after he was reported missing in Greater Manchester.

Selwood was discovered on July 19 after police launched a public appeal to help locate him.

He had built a following of more than 22,000 on TikTok, where he regularly shared fitness and boxing content.

According to a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police, Selwood was found dead at around 5 p.m. on Sunday.

"Michael's family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers at this difficult time," the spokesperson told PEOPLE.

"We would like to thank everyone who shared and supported this appeal."

Earlier that day, police had appealed to the public for help. They said that Selwood was last seen at around 8 p.m. on July 18 in Dukinfield, England.

Since news of his death emerged, friends and followers have flooded social media with tributes remembering the popular creator.

One Facebook post read: "Rest easy Michael. Gone far too soon, you will missed."

Another tribute said: "My good mate Mikey was had some good chats he is a legend in my eyes. Rip my guy."

Police have not released any further details about the circumstances surrounding Selwood's death.

Beauty Influencer Adriana Garcia Also Dies at 30

Selwood's death comes during another tragic week for the online creator community following the death of beauty influencer Adriana Garcia.

The 30-year-old mother of one died after suffering complications while undergoing cosmetic surgery at a private clinic in the Mexican state of Sinaloa.

Authorities have not yet confirmed her official cause of death, and the circumstances surrounding the procedure remain under investigation.

Garcia's death was confirmed by Mexican retailer Drop Shop. This was a brand she frequently partnered with to promote limited-edition sneakers and luxury jewelry.

"Today we bid farewell to a member of the Drop Shop family, fondly remembering her wonderful character, her dedication, and the moments we shared with her," the company said.

"We will always remember her. We offer our most sincere condolences to her family, daughter and friends, wishing them strength and peace during this difficult time."

Speaking after Garcia's death, Sinaloa Secretary of Health Cuitláhuac González Galindo said the department had not yet received official information regarding the case.

However, Galindo confirmed that the appropriate investigations would be carried out to establish exactly what happened.
