The last thing New Orleans needs is for Congressman Dan Crenshaw and John Rich to get involved in a pathetic internet fight over a stupid comment.

Families are in mourning and New Orleans is in shock following the tragic Bourbon Street attack that claimed 15 lives. Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42, was responsible for the awful attack. He was gunned down by the officers he was shooting at when he left the truck.

He had driven into the crowd with a rented truck with an ISIS flag on the back. Dozens more were injured in addition to the 15 killed.

The internet has been exploding about this harrowing incident, although one exchange between singer John Rich and Congressman Dan Crenshaw has gained special attention.

John Rich decided to post a zoomed-in

It's unclear how this detail managed to escape John Rich, and why exactly he thought to post it, but Dan Crenshaw was not happy. He believed the line of questioning was conspiratorial and insulting to the responding officers who risked their lives dealing with the attack.

He commented, "Another useless comment from a one hit wonder while families are mourning. Sit this one out John. Stop looking for attention in a time like this."

John Rich And Dan Crenshaw Get Into Ridiculous Internet Argument

Whether or not John Rich's questioning was insulting to officers, Dan adding more fuel to the fire was senseless, unhelpful, and hypocritical.

John Rich decided to continue the argument, by quote reposting, "Hey Dan, remember when you offered this one hit wonder a boat load of cash to play your rally and I told your people to kick rocks? ?"

Such a 'clap back' is also unnecessary and disrespectful to the original matter at hand, but both of them are as bad as each other and continue to try and duke it out.

"lol I remember when I was invited to YOUR event at UNC in September and your free concert couldn't even draw a good crowd," Dan Crenshaw quote reposted.

Crenshaw then quote reposted the same post, and added, "John I've never even spoken with you. I called you out today for your deceptive, click-bait comments on a horrific terror attack. We should be supporting the first responders on the scene and the families, that's all. You have no respect for the victims or the brave law enforcement that are on the scene."

John Rich replied, "You mean Flagstock? Where it was invite only by the fraternities because of the threats against the event? That one? When I heard you wanted to come, I told them to just make sure you didn't come onstage. Glad you skipped it altogether:)"

Rich has continued to make posts commenting on the argument, and Crenshaw has yet to reply. This national tragedy did not need two grown adults to fight each other online, yet alas, it's the internet.
