The Commanders' safety Jeremy Reaves proposed to his girlfriend after a nail-biting win, securing his team a spot in the playoffs just before securing his place in his girlfriend's life forever.

The Washington Commanders faced off against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, which resulted in a tense overtime win. Right after, Reaves rushed over to his long-time girlfriend, Mikaela Worley, and dropped on one knee.
After popping the question, Worley dropped to both knees as she covered her face with her hands.
She said "Yes."
The now-fiances embraced each other as fans and teammates cheered them on. Videos shared online show the incredible moment. After hugging, the safety put the ring on his bride-to-be's finger, and they embraced again.
Another video shows the team, with Reaves and his fiance, going to the locker room together. Commanders Punter Tress Way hugged the couple after Worley showed off her ring with a brilliant smile. Fans reached down to high-five Reaves.
Jeremy Reaves Talks About His On-Field Proposal
The Associated Press spoke to Reaves, who talked about the wonderful proposal.
"I hate losing, so there's no way I could have done that in the right spirit after a loss," Reaves told them. "That thing was burning a hole in my pocket."
Apparently, he gave Worley's family a heads-up about the proposal, like a gentleman.
Reaves continued, "If we win this game, it's destiny. She's earned it. I can't say enough about her. When I was at my lowest last year, she was there to pick me up everyday. She showed up. That's my best friend. Been my best friend since high school."
The safety thought to propose last week, although waited until the all-important game. He'd had the ring for some time.
"You can tell a lot about somebody when they are going through the worst and how they handle it. I was going through the worst last year coming off an ACL (tear). Couldn't do anything, couldn't be my own man and she was the crutch there when I couldn't do it myself," he said, referencing his injury last year.
