Comedian Dane Cook has addressed the drone controversy for the past few weeks, theorizing that the drones that are appearing across the country are alien technology ready to wipe out humanity again. This time, however, he has shared a video of what he describes as an "SUV-sized drone" he recorded while dining in Beverly Hills.
"SUV size 'drone' in the sky tonight at dinner tonight on the roof at Funke in Bev Hills this massive UAP flew in a pattern stopping.. scanning.. fast flying fast stopping... scanning over and over for what looked like a mile," Cook wrote on his post on X. The video shows an unidentified object flying above Cook and many others with red and green lights. Moments later, the "drone" flies away and stops at another point in the sk.
No sound.. no buzzing or whirling of engines or propellers. Not sure if it was actually scanning but it seemed to be sorta I don't know "looking" for something. Black mirror come to life," Cook continued.
Many of his followers shared Cook's worries, stating that the same drones have appeared in their states. Others, however, are not too convinced. "It looks like the average DJI Mavic although it's too dark to tell exactly. It's hard to hear the small ones especially when there is ambient noise," one user wrote. "Did they throw down a rope ladder so you could take a cruise around the galaxy?" a second user said.
The Drone Controversy
The drone situation across the country has sparked a massive debate and conspiracy theories that have taken over the internet. White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby addressed the drone controversy. He said that many of the drones reported were "lawful."
"We assess that the sightings to date include a combination of lawful commercial drones, hobbyist drones and law enforcement drones, as well as manned fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters and even stars that were mistakenly reported as drones," Kirby said, according to Newsweek. Understandably, Dane Cook himself was not too kind of the words Kirby shared.
"This John Kirby is a terrible liar and a bad actor", Cook wrote on X. "Yeah it's a bunch of hobbyists who got permission to fly there, SUV size drones around military complexes. Get the f**k outta here John and take an acting class."
As you can see, this is not the first time Cook has addressed the "drones." On December 15, he theorized that these devices were built before humanity existed and that whoever this super intelligent civilization was, they were able to develop "destruction level weapons" that "wiped us out."
"Now they see us gearing up for another mass extinction event and rather than let us destroy this dimension and many others they come here, assess the situation & then if need be they take us out of the equation and restart the process over," Cook concluded.
