Colt Ford announced the passing of his dad, Paul Heyward Brown, on April 8 per Taste Of Country. Ford took to social media to lovingly describe his beloved late father, writing, "Was a blessing to have my daddy for 89 years, Last night he went home to be with the Lord. Thank Y'all for all the Prayers. Love Y'all."

Ford (his name is actually Jason Farris Brown) posted on X while his father was ill, "FaceTiming with My Hero My Dad. Y'all say some prayers for My Dad not doing to[o] well. Thank yall for all the one's for me if ya don't mind give em to Him. I Love Ya Coach keep Fighting" Sadly, he lost his battle.
Per the outlet, "Paul Brown [w]as 89 years old. He died holding the hand of his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth."

Ford himself has faced some major health issues. He had a heart attack that might have been fatal, but fortunately, he recovered. He had to be revived not once, but twice. Happily, Ford was able to come back to the stage this year and seems to be in good shape.
