Kristin Sargent, a student at the University of Georgia, had a lucky escape from the clutches of death. The 21-year-old reportedly fell from the eighth floor of an apartment building, her father reports. She is now recovering from the incident in intensive care.

"We got a phone call from somebody that just said, 'Oh my God, Kristin's had a tough fall,'" Richard Sargent, Kristin's dad, told Channel 2 Action News.
As you would expect, Richard and Kristin's family made the dash from Virginia to Athens. According to investigators, Kristen was reportedly dancing on a couch when she fell out of an eighth-floor window.
"She was talking to one of her friends and saying, 'Hey, I'm alive. I can't believe it,'" Richard said. "She's a good fighter, and so she's going to be OK."
Channel 2 Action News has reported that inside the apartment, when Kristin's fall occurred, you can find countless notes wishing her well and hoping for a speedy recovery.
The fact that Kristen survived the fall is a miracle. However, according to The New York Post, she did suffer multiple broken bones. Still, bones will heal, and hopefully, Kristin will be able to make a full recovery and live a full life.
Kristin Sargent's Fall Happened After a Georgia Bulldogs Game
When speaking with Channel 2 Action News, Richard didn't detail what led to his daughter's fall. He did, however, reveal that the incident occurred after the Georgia Bulldogs beat the Oklahoma Sooners 41-13 on Saturday, Sept. 26.
"University of Georgia just won a football game," Richard Sargent said. "I bet there was a lot of kids here who are 21 years old who were super happy."
A representative for The Rambler Building, which is where the incident took place, has since released a statement to the New York Post.
"Our thoughts are with our resident, and we are wishing for a speedy recovery," The representative said. "We are continuing to gather information and review the circumstances surrounding the incident."
An investigation into the incident is undoubtedly underway. However, for Kristen and her family, the fact that she survived will undoubtedly be all that matters.
