Chris Stapleton, Sam Hunt Announced as 2018 CMT Music Awards Performers

On June 6, the 2018 CMT Music Awards take place in Nashville, bringing together the most popular country music artists to schmooze under one roof. Of course, the night wouldn't be complete without a string of memorable performances. This year, Chris Stapleton, Sam Hunt, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson will take the stage with Little Big Town serving as hosts for the evening.

What makes the CMT Awards unique is that fans vote on the winners of each of the eight categories. Voting is already underway online through June 4. Then, fans can tune in to CMT or CMT.com on the June 6 to see who earned the most clicks.

The CMT Music Awards usher in the CMA Fest taking place from the 7th to 10th in Nashville. Many of the artists who take the stage for the televised award show stay to perform for huge crowds of fans. Blake Shelton, who will also be opening up his new restaurant/bar/venue Ole Red Nashville during the festival dates, will play on Friday night at Nissan Stadium. Kelsea Ballerini followed by none other than Chris Stapleton will also take the stadium stage on Saturday night, awarding festival goers with a night to remember.
