Classic film icon Barbara Eden has been forced to drop out of the Cinecon Classic Film Festival. As reported by People, the cancellation came just hours before she was slated to be there.

They continued that "Barbara is deeply regretful that she had to cancel at the last minute as she had been very much looking forward to seeing everyone and celebrating with us".
Barbara was also slated to receive the Cinecon Legacy Award. Although she wasn't there in the end, the statement said that they would "still be honoring her as planned".
Her co-star, Pat Boone, had "accept[ed] the Cinecon Legacy Award on her behalf... [and] also agreed to stay and sign autographs after the film."
The Cinecon Classic Film Festival describes itself on its website as the place for "archivists, authors, collectors, and film fans" to "come together for five days of classic film & TV screenings, celebrity guests, and special programs." The 62nd iteration of the festival took place in Santa Monica, Los Angeles.

The Classic Film Icon Opened Up About What Happened
The classic film icon opened up about her sudden cancellation in a post on social media. It turns out the whole thing was a "miscommunication." "It's okay everyone! I'm okay!" she wrote.
"Oh, my goodness there has been a bit of miscommunication," she explained. "I'm not suffering from an illness; my doctor very recently prescribed a brand-new medication that turned out to have some nasty side effects".
But she did say that her cancellation was doctor-ordered. "Due to the discomfort," she explained, "my doctor ordered me to remain at home until it can be sorted out."
She added that the whole ordeal was "awful timing", and that she had the "deepest appreciation to everyone for the concern."
She was also confident that she'd be feeling better soon - saying the whole thing was "a speedbump." In any case, we hope she's right - and that she's back to usual soon!
