Cinnamon Muffins

These Cinnamon Muffins taste just like a cinnamon donut! Enjoy one (or two) of these treats with a cup of coffee in the morning.

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted

For The Topping

  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon


  • Preheat your oven to 400ºF and line a 12-cup muffin tin with liners.
  • In a bowl combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Add in the egg, milk, and butter and stir to combine and moisten. Pour into the muffin tin.
  • In a small bowl combine the sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over the tops of the muffins. Bake until a toothpick inserted comes out clean, about 20 minutes. Let cool before serving.


This muffins are so fun as minis! Prepare these in a mini muffin pan and cook for only 10 minutes.
Serve these a tad warm for the best taste!
