This Is Us actor Chrissy Metz will make her television debut as a singer on this year's Academy of Country Music awards. Metz, who has a lead role in the new film Breakthrough, will share the stage with Carrie Underwood, Maddie & Tae, Mickey Guyton and Lauren Alaina.
The women will perform "I'm Standing With You" from the Breakthrough soundtrack.
Metz told The Tennessean the performance is a dream come true.
"It's one of those bucket list moments you didn't think would actually happen," Metz told The Tennessean. "Standing on stage with five incredible women who are brilliant vocalists and artists is beyond thrilling."
The Breakthrough soundtrack features Underwood, Guyton, Maddie & Tae, Alaina, Darius Rucker and more. The movie is based on the 2017 novel The Impossible: The Miraculous Story of a Mother's Faith and Her Child's Resurrection, written by Joyce Smith. The book follows the story of Smith's son, a teenager in the St. Louis area who fell through an icy lake in 2015.
