Chris Stapleton's new album, "Traveller," has already made a strong impact on the country charts.
Songwriter and solo artist Chris Stapleton has found success with his debut album, Traveller.
According to Billboard, his album drew the largest sales start for a country artist's first full-length album so far this year. It's also the biggest sales start since Sam Hunt's Montevallo made a splash on the charts by earning an impressive 70,000 in sales at the end of 2014.

Prior to his album's debut, Stapleton wrote some of the biggest country hits in recent years. He penned songs including Luke Bryan's "Drink a Beer", and Kenny Chesney's "Never Wanted Nothing More", with dozens of other well-known tracks under his belt. He also was a member of the popular bluegrass band The SteelDrivers until 2013, shortly before signing a solo recording contract with Mercury Records Nashville.
With plenty of buzz still surrounding the album and immense support from fellow artists, Traveller will likely be a resident on the Billboard charts for many weeks to come.
You can currently see Chris Stapleton out on tour across the United States in support of Traveller through the end of the summer.
