Chris Stapleton Just Made History on the Country Charts

Only three musicians have ever held the top three spots on the Top Country Albums charts at one time. Charlie Rich, Garth Brooks and now, five-time Grammy winner Chris Stapleton.

According to Billboard, Charlie Rich first held rankings 1, 2 and 3 in 1974 for eight weeks straight. It wasn't until April 1992 that a second artist achieved the feat. Garth Brooks took over the top spots for a whopping 11 weeks with his self-titled album, Ropin' the Wind and No Fences.

Chris Stapleton's reign as the Top Country Albums king has just begun following his award-winning night at this year's Grammys. Right now, his latest album, From A Room: Volume 2 holds the number 1 spot, followed by 2015's Traveller and From A Room: Volume 1. Stapleton's first album, Traveller has already spent 29 weeks in the Top chart and recently moved from ranking 4 to 2 while From a Room: Volume 1 lept from number 10 to number 3.

Stapleton has kept his calm, humble demeanor through his chart topping and Grammy winning feats. Even after receiving the coveted Best Country Album award at this year's Grammys, he stayed true to form by keeping his acceptance speech short and sweet, saying, "Thank you to everybody that works so hard for us. It's a real joy to make music."
