Chris Stapleton's 'From a Room: Volume 1' Goes Platinum

Chris Stapleton's 2017 record From a Room: Volume 1 has officially reached Platinum status. According to the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), this special certification means that the record has sold over 1 million units since its release.

Stapleton's amazing successes have been adding up lately. From a Room: Volume 2 holds gold status (selling over 500,000 units) while Stapleton's 2015 album, Traveller, has already gone triple platinum. He also took home CMAs for Album of the Year (for the newly platinum From A Room: Volume 1) and Male Vocalist of the Year. Not to mention his two Grammys, one for Best Country Album (also for From a Room: Volume 1) and Best Country Solo Performance for "Either Way."

From a Room: Volume 1 was released in May 2017 by Mercury Nashville. The bluesy rock/country record earned him more fans and kept those who jumped on the bandwagon with Traveller's release enthralled with his strong, commanding vocals and emotionally vulnerable lyrics peppered with the sounds of an electric guitar.

"Either Way" was released as the album's first single the month it came out, followed by "Broken Halos," by far one of Stapleton's most well-known songs, in July. The release of From a Room: Volume 2 followed quickly after in Dec. 2017.
