Chris Stapleton took the stage at the 2019 Academy of Country Music awards on Sunday, April 7 to perform "A Simple Song," a track from From A Room: Volume 2.
Joined by his wife Morgane Stapleton on vocals, Stapleton delivered a gripping performance of the tender song about finding comfort in loved ones.
"But I love my life/ Man it's, something to see/ It's the kids and the dogs and you and me," Stapleton sings. "It's the way it's all right/ When everything goes wrong/ It's a sound of a slow, simple song."
Chris and Morgane Stapleton are expecting their fifth child. The couple had twin boys last April. The twins' arrival was announced by Reba McEntire during the 2018 ACM Awards. The couple married in 2007.
Stapleton is nominated for six awards this year, including a nomination for Male Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year. Wide Open Country will be following the 54th annual Academy of Country Music awards throughout the night.
