Chris Cagle Announces Return From Retirement with New Album, Live Performance

In 2015, after 15 years of performing and recording, Chris Cagle announced his retirement from country music. But the country singer is making his return — at least briefly.

Cagle, who racked up hits with songs "I Breathe In, I Breathe Out," "Laredo," "What a Beautiful Day" and "Miss Me Baby," announced that he'll return to the stage to headline Guthrie's River Ruckus Festival in Iowa.

Cagle announced his return, which will include new music and an upcoming album, via social media on Dec. 7. During the concert, live footage will be filmed for an upcoming live performance DVD.

The show is being billed as Cagle's final show. Those planning to attend the festival may purchase tickets along with album/DVD combos. Meet and greet tickets for Cagle are also available.

Diamond Rio, Cody Hicks, Ashley McBryde and Mitchell Tenpenny will also perform at Guthrie's River Ruckus Festival.

Cagle released his debut album Play it Loud in 2000. The record spawned the No. 1 hit "I Breathe In, I Breathe Out." In 2012, Cagle released his last album, Back in the Saddle, before announcing his retirement. In his 2015 announcement regarding his retirement, Cagle stated that he wanted to spend more time with his family.
