Fans who couldn’t believe that Chip and Joanna Gaines were leaving HGTV can breathe a sigh of relief.
Even though the Fixer Upper duo announced that their long-running series was coming to an end on April 3, viewers will see the Gaines family brighten up the small screen once again a week later with their new show, Fixer Upper: Behind the Design.
The couple have already filmed 15 30-minute episodes of the new show. Behind the Design viewers will get to see how Joanna’s design process unfolds.
“I can’t wait to show our fans how every piece of the design comes together before the final reveal,” Joanna says. “I want to nail every detail so that, when we walk away, Chip and I know we’ve given a family the one-of-a-kind home of their dreams.”
A short clip released by HGTV earlier in the year shows that the behind the scenes series will finally answer fans’ questions concerning how the other rooms in the house look that aren’t part of the reveal. Joanna explains that even though the base of the room is “pretty” and stylish, for the most part, it’s full of her stuff until they have time to clean up!
Fixer Upper: Behind the Design featuring Chip and Joanna Gaines premieres on HGTV on April 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
