The occupants of the bus, which were all male, were celebrating the birth of a rabbi's new child. As the bus made its way toward Montvale, it turned over. Footage from the scene shows the vehicle on its side, facing in towards oncoming traffic.
Emergency services from Montvale and Rockland Hatzoloh rushed to the scene. They were seen pulling the young children from the school bus crash from choppers recording overhead. One of the boys was reported to be in critical condition. Initially, he was suspected to have died on the scene.
However, due to the hard work of the emergency services, he was soon reported to have a pulse once more. The 13 other injured bus passengers were also transported to local hospitals to be treated for injuries sustained during the crash.
