Chick-Fil-A's Frosted Coffee Copycat Recipe is a Snap To Put Together

We're all adults here. We like coffee. We like milkshakes. We like vanilla ice cream. And we love Chick-fil-A's frosted coffee. Originally introduced in 2016 as a limited-time treat, customers loved it so much that they kept it on the menu. It's a blend of the restaurant's famous Icedream (an ice cream-like dairy dessert) and cold-brewed coffee extract.

Chick-fil-A's Frosted Coffee isn't as thick as a milkshake which makes it super easy to sip through a straw. Craving it on a Sunday? Try making it at home. I know, your family is nowhere near as friendly as the Chick-Fil-A employees, but give it a shot anyway. This frozen coffee drink is a great alternative treat to your usual iced coffee, especially when the weather heats up.

You'll need:

  • 2 cups (about 4 scoops) good quality vanilla bean ice cream
  • 1/4 cup cold brew coffee concentrated (instructions below)

  1. Scoop the ice cream into a blender and pour the cold brew coffee on top. Blend it all until deliciously smooth and creamy and pour into a glass and drink immediately.

Another way to enjoy after blending the coffee and ice cream is to put it into a freezer-safe container and freeze it. Eat with a spoon later or better yet, pour it into reusable popsicle molds and freeze for a tantalizing frozen treat.

How to Make Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate:

Make your own cold brew coffee by coarsely grinding 6 ounces of any medium roast coffee beans. Stir the grounds with 6 cups of cold water in a pitcher, cover, and refrigerate for as close to 24 hours as you can get; Starbucks does 20 hours. Pour it through a strainer lined with paper towels or a coffee filter. This coffee concentrate will keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
