It's officially Fall which means cinnamon, pumpkin spice lattes, and everything nice is in full force. Chick-fil-a is no longer serving up their limited-time peach milkshake, a summertime favorite. But that doesn't mean the chicken sandwich fast food chain is gonna leave us hanging while we wait for their seasonal peppermint chip milkshake. According to a recent press release, The new Autumn Spice Milkshake is making its way to one special Chick-fil-A location to test it before a potential national release.
Chick-fil-A is Testing Out a Brand New Spice Milkshake for Autumn
The new Autumn Spice Milkshakewill be available exclusively at participating Salt Lake City Chick-fil-A restaurants starting Sept. 27 through Oct. 30, while supplies last. Hand-spun the old-fashioned way, the Autumn Spice Milkshake is prepared with Chick-fil-A Icedream dessert and combined with rich flavors like cinnamon, cardamom, and orange, as well as crunchy bits of speculoos cookies. The milkshake is then topped with whipped cream and a single cherry.
Why Salt Lake City?
According to the chicken chain, SLC drinks the most Chick-fil-a milkshakes in the nation. more than 1.5 million in 2020 alone! Last year, Chick-fil-A tested the Butterscotch Crumble Milkshake in Salt Lake City, which makes it the ideal location to try this new fall treat. The butterscotch crumble milkshake flavor was released last spring and featured Icedream® frozen dessert and blondie crumbles, which perfectly paired with waffle fries.
"We're excited to offer guests more menu variety this year, and that includes testing out new fall flavors like the Autumn Spice Milkshake," says Beth Hefner from the Chick-fil-A Menu Development Team. "Our guests look forward to our seasonal milkshakes every year, and we're excited to put Salt Lake City's tastebuds to the test with this delicious blend of rich, autumn-inspired flavors."
Will this new menu item make it to our bellies? Let's hope so! Until then, a taste of this milkshake requires a bit of a road trip.
