Cheddar Cheese Ball

Make your own Cheddar Cheese Ball for your next holiday gathering. Silky cream cheese and sharp cheddar is rolled in chopped almonds.

  • 2 8-oz packages cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • crackers for serving


  • In a mixing bowl with an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese and cheddar until smooth. Beat in the Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and cayenne pepper. Chill in the fridge for 2 hours.
  • Place a piece of plastic wrap on the counter and scoop the cheese mixture onto the plastic wrap. Using the wrap, press the mixture into a ball. Roll in almonds. Serve with crackers.


Make sure to use sharp cheddar in this recipe for the best flavor.
You can make this a day in advance and chill it in the fridge.
