Ahead of the scheduled performance in Florida, Puth took to Instagram to share the news with fans.

"I am so devastated to do this, but I have to cancel tonight's show," he wrote on Instagram Stories. "I've been sick for the last few days and am now being instructed to rest or else risk canceling more dates on this tour."

"Performing for you all each night means everything to me, and you all deserve the best. I'm heartbroken, but I physically am unable to perform. Without a voice, I can't give you guys the show you all deserve. I'm so sorry, this was not an easy decision to make, but I hope to see you all soon when I am well again."

Shortly afterward, the venue advised ticket holders to contact their original point of purchase for refunds. Indicating that the concert would not be moved to a later date.

Puth's tour began on April 22 in San Diego and is currently making its way across North America.

His next scheduled performance is set for June 9 at Ascend Amphitheater in Nashville.

Singer Preparing for International Tour Dates

Following a June 13 show at Houston's 713 Music Hall, Puth is scheduled to head overseas for a performance at Rock in Rio Lisboa in Portugal on June 20.

The four-time Grammy nominee is then expected to launch the international leg of the Whatever's Clever! Tour on June 27.

The tour itinerary includes stops across Germany, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, and several other countries before continuing into Asia.

Later in the year, Puth is scheduled to perform in Auckland, New Zealand, on November 7. He will then wrap up the tour with a five-date run across Australia.

The tour is scheduled to end on November 17 at the RAC Arena in Perth.

Puth last performed in Hollywood, Florida, on June 5. According to Setlist.fm, he opened the show with "Beat Yourself Up" and closed an 18-song set with fan favorites "See You Again" and "Changes."

Whether Puth will be healthy enough to return to the stage in Nashville on June 9 remains unclear. Further updates are expected in the coming days.
