If you know Charlie Daniels, then you know he's one of the most outspoken musicians in any genre of music.
In recent months, he has posted a series of open letters on his blog called Charlie's Soapbox, which are always blunt and filled with controversial opinions. In his newest post, Daniels takes aim at the current administration and its relationship with Iran and its leaders.
The musician begins by listing off some of America's bravest moments, such as beginning the Civil War and storming the beaches of Normandy on D-Day. Daniels implies that the current politicians in power lack the kind of bravery that was seen in these previous historical moments.
"The courageous politicians that once championed this nation have been replaced, for the most part, by a breed of milksop, politically correct, scared of their own shadow, pushover, pathetic excuses for public servants," Daniels said in the letter.
He goes on to call Obama an "out of control president" and shares his disgust over a potential nuclear deal with Iran.
"Do I really believe that Iran will not use the money we're releasing to them to finance terrorists to kill Americans, and, when, not if, but when, the Iranians develop their nuclear device, will they really use it against America and Israel?"
The rest of his post discusses everything from the national debt to the IRS and ends with a harsh evaluation of our current political leaders.
"You're no longer men," Daniels says bluntly. "You're puppets, you're caricatures, jokes, a gaggle of fading prostitutes for sale to anybody who can do you a political favor."
After posting his letter to Facebook, the musician has earned over 13,000 likes and 12,000 shares. No matter what your political beliefs may be, it's definitely a read that will spark up some conversation.
