Skydiving may seem like it's super dangerous, but when done properly, it's remarkably safe. So, when a skydiver with over 400 jumps fell to their death, an investigation was made into the genuine cause.

The woman who was in her 30s jumped from a plane over Durham in the UK. She was a highly experienced skydiver and had more than 400 successful jumps. In the two days previous, she had jumped a total of 11 times. Jade Damarell was a professional in her sport and wasn't one for making mistakes.
The investigation into the death of the skydiver is being treated as intentional. Her skydiving corporation that took Damarell up has noted that "all indications from the police and British Skydiving are that this was a deliberate act taken to end her own life." The police are not treating it as suspicious.
Friends And Family Shaken By Death of Experienced Skydiver
Nobody suspected that Damarell was planning on taking her own life during her skydiving weekend. It has deeply shocked her friends, family, and the skydiving community. "This heartbreaking news has deeply affected all who knew her, and our thoughts are with her family and friends as they face this unimaginable loss," SkyHigh Skydiving said in a statement.
A friend of the skydiver spoke out about her death, shocked that she was suicidal. "'Everyone is devastated and deeply traumatized by what happened because she was very much part of the skydiving community. She was mad for the sport. In just the two days before she died, she did 11 jumps. She must have done 80 this year."
The coroner is yet to confirm the cause of death, but is suspected that she intentionally took her own life. She died doing something she loved at the very least. A small cherry tree has been planted on the farm the skydiver landed on in memorial. The farm released an invitation for people to visit and pay their respects "as a memorial to the young lady who tragically lost her life in the parachute incident."
This is the third skydiving death in the area. However, no foul play is suspected in any case.
