The cause of death for Nashville star Hayden Panettiere has been uncovered. According to a Monday (September 14) TMZ report.

Per the outlet, the late actress took an oxycodone pill that was laced with fentanyl. A powerful synthetic opioid that is roughly 50 to 100 times stronger than morphine and heroin.

One source told TMZ that Hayden had a connection to a "long-time drug dealer" in Los Angeles. Who had been "providing her several black-market prescription drugs, including oxycodone."
There was an outpouring of reactions from fans on social media once the reported cause of death for the actress was revealed.
"This is murder. These people need to go down for what they've done. And continue to do," one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"Absolutely heartbreaking. One pill potentially containing fentanyl can destroy an entire life," a second user chimed in.
Nashville Star Was Discovered By Boyfriend & His Brother
Panettiere was found unresponsive in a Greenville, South Carolina apartment complex back in August.
In a 911 call obtained by TMZ, the Emergency Medical Services dispatch team responded to an "unresponsive female." Who is suffering from an apparent "cardiac arrest." Another worker confirmed that the female had suffered from an overdose. They were administering CPR in an attempt to revive her, which was unsuccessful.
Now, in the latest update, sources told the outlet that they believe that Hayden took a bevy of drugs that the dealer supplied her with before she got on the flight from Los Angeles to South Carolina a day before her death.
No arrests have been made in the death of the star actress. However, one source told the outlet that the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is "zeroing in on a potential drug dealer." Another important piece of information is that the DEA has spoken with Panettiere's on-again, off-again boyfriend, Brian Hickerson. Hickerson, along with his brother, was at the South Carolina rental property when they discovered the Nashville actress unresponsive back in August. Hickerson's brother reportedly tried to revive the actress with Narcan, but the attempt was unsuccessful.
