Famed child actress Christy Knowings passed away in August at 46. And now her cause of death has been revealed.

Knowings Cause of Death Revealed
In the actress's death certificate obtained by PEOPLE, it was revealed that Knowings died of cardiac arrest (heart attack).
Knowings' father confirmed her death in a public statement on Friday (August 28).
She was best known for her role on Nickelodeon's hit comedy sketch series All That. The actress appeared on the show for three seasons from 1997 through 2000.
All That Cast Members Pay Tribute to Actress
So following the news of her passing several of her former All That cast members weighed in with tributes on social media.
"Man, this one hit hard!!! Rest well, Christy!!! Never could have imagined this day!!" Saturday Night Live star Keenan Thompson wrote in part in an Instagram post. "Sending so much love to her family!! She was a real one and one of the funniest people out here!!! Gonna miss you, buddy!!!"
Former Nickelodeon star Kel Mitchell also paid tribute to the fallen actress.
"Christy, thank you for sharing your incredible gift with all of us," he wrote. "Your talent, your characters, and the joy you brought to so many will never be forgotten. Sending my love and deepest condolences to Christy's family and loved ones. Rest in Heaven"
In a 2019 interview with Bortle, Knowings talked about how the show helped bring New York City and cultural upbringing to a mainstream audience.
"I'm from the Bronx and Native American Afro-Latina, so I was able to bring so much to the table. So would bring cultural nuances and it was celebrated," she said at the time.
"'All That' showcased the unity that we all wanted, needed, and still need in a very humorous way."
In addition to her role on All That, Knowings appears in an episode of New York Undercover in 1994. In addition to three episodes of Sesame Street from 2008-2011.
