Ellen DeGeneres is notorious for using crafty tactics to scare celebrity guests, and there is no better time than late October to pull off another Boo!
This time, the spook was on Carrie Underwood. The "Smoke Break" singer stopped by the Ellen DeGeneres Show for a chit-chat to promote her new album Storyteller, tease her upcoming tour and dish out some details on how she and hubby -- NHL hockey player Mike Fisher -- divvy up their roles as parents to eight-year-old son Isaiah.
Midway through the interview, DeGeneres challenged the American Idol alum to a trivia game called Country Song or Country Wrong. When the silly game concluded, DeGeneres asked Underwood if she considered her hubby to be a "cowboy".
While Underwood was busy rattling off information about her other half's cowboy-ish interests, DeGeneres took the opportunity to play a prank. See how it played out in the video above.
