American Idol season 23 will begin in March, although we already know one major point of the show before it's even started.

In the show, the judges have three Platinum Tickets that they can give to contestants to keep them safe in the first week. Strangely, American Idol has already revealed who new judge Carrie Underwood has awarded the Platinum Ticket. And they did it live on-air.
Uploading the moment to their YouTube, American Idol's Carrie Underwood and Ryan Seacrest bring forward Filo, a contestant for the next season. Carrie Underwood attests that Filo is "amazing," and the contestant is visibly happy and overwhelmed to be there with the singer.
Seacrest explains about how Platinum Tickets work, and Filo's eyes light up. Carrie Underwood picks up a Platinum Ticket that I suppose they had lying around, and says, "right now we are gonna hand out a Platinum Ticket live!"
Filo puts his hands to his face in happiness as Underwood hands him the Platinum Ticket. "Oh my God!" he says as he doubles over.
He was beside himself in shock, holding his ticket that keeps him safe and shows he has the admiration of all three judges.
This is a beautiful moment, although it completely spoils one of the three gilded tickets for the upcoming season.
Internet Reacts To Carrie Underwood Giving Out 'American Idol' Platinum Ticket
Some are surprised that the show decided to out one of their Platinum Tickets.
"Congrats, but kinda lets the cat out of the bag as far as the show goes, which hasn't started yet," one writes.
"Funny how they spoiled it lol," comments another.
"Why did you do that? I'm sure Filo is a fantastic singer but that is a massive spoiler for the new season," one complains.
"Why the heck would yall spoil the first round of auditions like that?," asks one.
Many others are congratulating Filo on the achievement, however, excited for the reveal.
"Here comes Filo's New Year miracle known as American Idol's Platinum Ticket, touchdown Filo!" one exclaims.
This is an exciting and endearing moment, although is an odd move by the showrunners. Although I'm sure it's purely promotional, it deflates the moment for fans when watching the show.
