Carrie Underwood on C-Section: ‘I Had Guilt’

Carrie Underwood is sharing her personal experiences and struggles that occurred during the birth of her son, Isaiah, in February.

She told WMZQ's Michael J that when she made the decision to have a C-section, she had a lot of mixed feelings about the procedure.

"I feel like emotionally it was the hardest thing overall," Underwood said. "I felt a little bit like I had done something wrong. I had guilt about it going in."

Although Underwood intially wished she had the option to do a natural delivery, she wanted to discuss her experience to reach out to other mothers who may also be feeling guilty or unsure about having to use the surgical method of delivery.

"I definitely think that that's something that women should know," Underwood shared. "It's just something you've got to learn to be okay with, and you're not alone."

Motherhood isn't causing Underwood to slow down any time soon. After making big appearances at this year's CMA Fest and CMT Music Awards, she's taking some time off the road to work on other projects. She's currently designing and promoting her fitness clothing line, CALIA by Carrie and will be the voice of Sunday Night Football's theme song for yet another year.
