Leave it to Carrie Underwood to give everyone chills, from the players on the ice to the fans in the tip-top of the stadium, thanks to her commanding vocals during her rendition of the National Anthem before the Preds game this Sunday. Her voice seemed to electrify the audience and the players who gained energy and excitement from her acapella performance.
After Underwood sang, the Predators squeaked by with a 5-4 win against the Winnipeg Jets. This definitely delighted Underwood who's married to the center for the Preds, Mike Fisher. Needless to say, she's a big fan of the team. She also performed "The Star-Spangled Banner" last year before a game.
Big-name country acts have been taking to the ice to start off the Nashville Predators home games during their 2018 playoff season. So far this year we've seen Maren Morris charm the stadium with her beautiful version of the National Anthem, Brad Paisley brought his guitar to work his magic on the ice and Rascal Flatts combined their vocals to give a powerful performance before the start of the Predators vs. Colorado Avalanche series. More recently, Dierks Bentley and Del McCoury sang together before the first game against the Jets.
