Carrie Underwood stripped it down on the Bobby Bones Show, but we're not talking about the Luke Bryan way. Carrie visited the popular radio show for Joy Week back in March. During the show, she gave a special performance of Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" that will leave you awestruck.
Accompanied only by an acoustic guitar, Carrie's vocals illuminate the beloved track, made famous by both Parton and Whitney Houston. Her rendition is both raw and humble, yet powerful. See for yourself in the video below.
You can hear Carrie singing the iconic song in the newly released single "Forever Country." The song was created as a tribute to the CMA's 50th anniversary, and features 30 CMA award-winning artists. Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Reba and even Dolly Parton herself are among them. Debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard charts, "Forever Country" has become only the third song since the charts inception to receive that honor.
This year, Carrie is up for four CMA award nominations. She is also the only female nominated in the "Entertainer of the Year" category. Underwood will be going up against Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton and Keith Urban.
