Carrie Underwood rang in her 34th birthday with some family time and a few unique gifts. But the highlight of her birthday? Receiving a personal serenade from Loretta Lynn.
The country music icon called to wish Carrie a happy birthday and sing her a tune. And while a phone call seems like a simple gesture, this one turned out to be a once-in-a-lifetime gift for Underwood.
"Ummm... @LorettaLynn just called and sang me happy birthday!" Carrie
But Lynn's special surprise wasn't the only thing Underwood received on her special day. Her husband, Nashville Predators hockey player Mike Fisher, shared a heartfelt message on Twitter.
"Happy birthday @carrieunderwood !! Izzy and I are so blessed to have you in our lives! You're the best!"
Birthday wishes also poured in from other celebrities, like Ellen Degeneres, as well as Underwood's former tour mate, Easton Corbin.

The surprises just kept rolling in for the "Dirty Laundry" singer on her birthday. Ivey Childers, one of her closest friends, baked a custom cake inspired by Underwood's favorite TV show, The Walking Dead. Coated in "bloody" icing, the cake features details inspired by the horror drama series. On one side the cake says, "Don't open, dead inside." But the reverse side features beautiful white flowers and reads, "Happy Birthday Carrie. Just look at the flowers."
Childers owns a bakery, IveyCakes, in Franklin, Tenn. She's known for crafting beautiful and delicious cupcakes. But this birthday cake may be her goriest creation yet.
Carrie also took to Instagram to show off her "mean mug" and display another another unique gift - a baseball bat entwined in barb wire.
And after an exciting and exhausting day of celebrating her 34th birthday, Underwood snuggled under the covers with her beloved dog, Penny.
