Carly Pearce and Michael Ray Tie the Knot on Tennessee Farm

Carly Pearce and Michael Ray are officially husband and wife. The country star couple tied the knot on Sunday (October 6) on a farm outside of Nashville, Tennessee with about 100 friends and family members in attendance, People reports.

The two country artists, who went public with their relationship in the summer of 2018, announced their engagement last December.

People reports that the wedding took place at Drakewood Farm, which features a 19th-century mansion on its 40 acres. A rainstorm forced the planned outdoor wedding ceremony to move inside one of the farm's gorgeous and rustic barns, but the change didn't bring down the mood one bit for the newlyweds.

"No one noticed the storms as we moved the ceremony inside," Pearce told People. "The love and joy in the room was perfect to us. It was a truly romantic night!"

Pearce wore a Samantha Sleeper gown. The couple exchanged vows they wrote themselves. Bill Cody, a famed Nashville and country radio DJ and Grand Ole Opry announcer, officiated the ceremony. It was the perfect choice for the two Opry and classic country fans.

"It's kind of all-encompassing of country music and the Opry and our story. And his voice is just so sweet," Pearce told People.

Country star Jake Owen serenaded the couple for their first dance. Owen sang "Made For You," a ballad from his most recent album.

While Pearce and Ray had known each other for several years, their romance began to blossom during a small party at Pearce's house in June of 2018. That same night, they had their first date at the Nashville Palace, a beloved historic honky tonk in Music City.

"It was just this very certain moment," Pearce told People. "More certain than I've ever been: 'That is who you're going to be with.'"

Congratulations to the happy couple!
