Carly Pearce honored Dolly Parton big time with a beautiful rendition of "Jolene" at the Grand Ole Opry's 100th anniversary.

Opry 100 aired last night, and in the 3-hour special, many country legends and famous artists hit the stage to perform. The event celebrated the past 100 years of country music, so you already know that Dolly Parton was gonna get mentioned.
And who better to sing in honor of the Queen of Country than Carly Pearce?
Her performance was beautiful and an apt tribute to Parton. The country legend recently lost her husband, Carl Deal, after 60 years of marriage. I'm sure watching Carly Pearce perform her song so beautifully would have made her feel so proud.
Especially considering Parton is the one who invited Pearce to join the Grand Ole Opry in the first place.
There is currently no amateur or official reupload of Carly Pearce's performance of "Jolene," so I'm sorry if you missed it. Hopefully, some footage of the event will surface before long. In fact, I'm surprised so much of the night hasn't made it online just yet.
At least Alan Jackson's final performance of "Chattahoochee" is partially available for all to see.
Carly Pearce's History With Dolly Parton
Most may know about Carly Pearce's relationship with Dolly Parton, but it's worth rehashing.
It's common enough knowledge that Carly Pearce worked at Dollywood when she was 16. She's previously shared how important performing there was for her.
It's so strange to think that Pearce was made through singing at Parton's theme park. She said that she fell in love with Parton and Dollywood at the age of five when she went to the park for the first time.
It was "the most amazing thing" to be able to perform there.
Funnily enough, as Pearce was going over how much she loved Parton and Dollywood in that faux interview in 2021, Dolly Parton surprised the singer with an invitation to the Grand Ole Opry. Parton walking in on Pearce is such a heartwarming moment. I heavily recommend you watch the whole thing.
As I said before, who better to pay tribute to Dolly Parton than Carly Pearce?
