The shooter, identified as Glenn Litton, 56, opened fire on Feather River School of Seventh-Day Adventists. He claimed to be meeting his grandchild as he was dropped at the gates. After unloading his weapon, and grievously injuring two children, he turned the gun on himself.

Along with the identity of the school shooter, a motive has also allegedly been found. Primarily, the man was deeply mentally unwell, and whatever his motives were should be taken as nothing more than the rantings of someone unhinged. A typed note on the man's body revealed his insanity.

The note, found on the shooter's body, spoke about taking revenge for the genocide in Palestine. He claimed that the school was responsible for the attacks and oppression of the Palestinians. In this case, the focus of this unwell man's frustrations was taken out on the innocent children of Feather River School of Seventh-Day Adventists.

School Shooter Identity Reveals History Of Mental Illness

The identity of the shooter revealed as Glenn Litton, also tells of his past and unchecked mental illness. Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea said that the man had a history of mental illness dating back to his teenage years. However, there had never been a solid diagnosis.

In his mad rantings, attempting to justify his actions, he lashed out at the Seventh-Day Adventists. However, the group is Christian and only follows the bible as their holy book. They believe the second coming of Christ is soon, hence the name.

Hornea was as confused as anyone about the motives identified by the shooter's motives. "That´s a motivation that was in his mind. How it was that he conflated what was going on in Palestine and Yemen with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, I can´t speculate. I´m not sure that we´ll ever know that."

It was clear that the man was unstable and unaware of what he was talking about. Also, it is evident he had no idea what the Middle Eastern conflict was actually about.
