Butterball has long been the go-to for all things turkey. This year, they are partnering with your virtual BFF Alexa to make sure nothing goes wrong for Thanksgiving Dinner. The Butterball Turkey Talk-Line is officially open for the holiday season. No need for a phone, though. For the first time ever, home cooks can get hands-free, in-kitchen support from Amazon Alexa with a new Butterball skill. Users can enable the Butterball Skill for Amazon Alexa by simply saying, "Alexa, ask Butterball...". Once enabled, just ask the Butterball skill your cooking questions and hear trusted Talk-Line experts share answers. Users can even watch how-to videos on compatible Alexa-enabled devices (Echo Show, Echo Spot, and Amazon Fire TV).

"The Turkey Talk-Line is focused on one-on-one help for cooking a turkey, whether it's a first-time cook or a 20-year Thanksgiving veteran," said Nicole Johnson, co-director of the Butterball Turkey Talk-Line. "Nothing will ever replace a phone call with an expert; but our goal is to reach cooks where it's convenient for them and give them the confidence to 'host Like a boss' through as many means as possible."
Cooks can reach the Butterball Turkey Talk-Line for help starting today, and through December 24, through a wide range of channels, including Alexa:

The Alexa addition, however, makes it much easier for home cooks to get help on the spot, even while in the kitchen cooking. "The new Butterball skill for Alexa lets customers tap into years of expert cooking advice on how to prepare a turkey - even when their hands are full in the kitchen," said Rob Pulciani, Vice President, Amazon Alexa. "We're excited that Alexa can help make the holidays a little easier for our customers."
The Talk-Line has been around since 1981. Since then, pros have helped over 50 million home cooks perfect their holiday meals. 8 in 10 people preparing the Thanksgiving meal for the first time worry about cooking the turkey correctly. The most common question people ask the Turkey Talk-Line is "How do I thaw a turkey?"
According to a recent Butterball survey, 4 in 5 first-time preparers worry about cooking the turkey correctly. And, new cooks are far more worried about cooking the turkey correctly, more anxious about preparing the meal, and more stressed in general than older generations. But even half of the experienced preparers agree with the statement "prior to the day, it feels like I'm preparing for a marathon!"
