Bunnie Xo, the wife of Jelly Roll and the beloved Dumb Blonde podcaster, prides herself on being open, upfront, and honest with herself and her public. So when she posted on Instagram about entirely rewriting her autobiographical book, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, because "it wasn't me," I believe her. It fell short of her high standards. She could not put something out there that was not authentic.

That lengthy post is revelatory. And very much worth reading and thinking about.
What Bunnie Xo Did To Improve Her Book
Bunnie Xo explains in her post that she worked with a ghostwriter. She doesn't fault that person in any way, but when she read the manuscript, it disappointed her. It was a big-time letdown.
In the post, she explained, "But when I was handed the final draft, I knew it wasn't right. It was well-written, but it wasn't me. So I rewrote the entire book in two weeks on my iPhone in the notes pad. Every word. Because if I was finally going to tell my truth, it had to be authentically me, and I owe that to you all."
Pre-Sales Confirm Her Popularity
The book drops in less than a couple of weeks on Tuesday, February 17. Bunnie Xo proudly and gratefully says it has pre-sold 40,000 copies. She wept joyously when she heard the news about how well it was already being received.
Bunnie Xo shared, "I woke up in tears today when I got the phone call from my team for how many books I've pre- sold...They were the happiest tears. Just overwhelmed humbly in the most human way."
She confided, "Still wrapping my head around the fact that this all started with a girl from a little girl in Vegas, who from the start- insisted on doing things HER WAY"
Fans Are Supporting Her All the Way
Some of them wrote appreciative remarks on social media congratulating her and expressing excitement about the forthcoming book.
"Can't wait to read your book"
"So beautiful"
"So proud of you Blondie"
What began on a small scale in 2019 as a journal has morphed into a whole volume with best-seller potential. Congrats Bunnie Xo!
