Shortly after news of his death became public, some of his former co-stars began to pay tribute on social media.

"There's a hole in the world. Anthony Head has passed on from us," James Marsters, who played Spike on Buffy, wrote on Instagram. "He was an unflaggingly kind and steady presence on the set of Buffy, and the best actor in the cast. He was the best of us. I was lucky to have known, and learned from him. He left the world a better place for his presence. Thank you Tony for all you gave."

Marsters isn't the only member of the Buffy cast to post a tribute, either. Clare Kramer, who played Glory, a goddess of a hell dimension, in the show, also shared a touching post.

"Rest in Peace, Anthony. To know you was a pleasure. To work with you an honor," Kramer posted on Instagram. "Through Giles, you gave us bravery without fearlessness, and compassion without weakness — an exemplary performance (and one of many). My condolences to your girls, family, and all who had the pleasure of loving you. Rest easy, Watcher."

Members of the Ted Lasso Cast Also Posted Tributes

The cast of Buffy weren't the only ones to pay tribute to Anthony following his death. Brett Goldstein, who played Roy Kent on the Apple TV smash hit, also shared a touching post.

"Anthony Head was a brilliant actor who played the worst person in the world, which was an incredible skill because he was the best person," Goldstein posted on his Instagram Story. "Infinitely charming and kind and fun and a joy. He will be sorely missed. Love to his family."

Anthony touched countless lives. He's a part of many people's childhoods. The acting industry, along with his friends, family and loved ones, will certainly miss him.

Currently, there's no information regarding his funeral. Those details will likely remain private.
